I found this place while in town for a couple months, it was close to my workplace and had good reviews on yelp. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try! Their soup and sandwich combo is great; they have different soups pretty much everyday and their turkey sandwich is refreshing with the cucumber. I've been coming here for lunch pretty much everyday I've been in town for work; I love that the bread is local, coming from a person who detests "healthy" bread, their 9 grain bread is delicious. They also have rye bread, which is rare for a restaurant. They can get a little swamped at lunchtime, but the waitresses have always been super nice. Great local spot to visit!

Cute little cafe, but it is very expensive and difficult to find. If you order an omelette, all you get is the omelette and toast for $6.95 - they don't have English muffins either. The only toast options are sour dough & multi-grain bread. By the way, potatoes or hash browns are NOT included with you omelette - that's extra. It really isn't a place to take kids either. There is no kid's menu, and everything is a la carte - an extra charge. Sounds like it's primarily a lunch place that makes a weak effort at breakfast. It's not a good value, at least not for breakfast. We won't be back.

I hope this is a local business! I'm impressed and delighted. I stopped in for a small lunch during a shopping trip, and took the half salad half cafe sandwich option. I had a turkey wrap with dofino cheese, sprouts and veggies. I asked for it hot, and the meat and cheese were toasted. I wish the entire wrap could have been toasted but it's maybe my fault for not asking and maybe they don't have the means. My salad was excellent, all fresh, Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing which comes on the side. Perfect size for the salad. The bacon is sugary, just the right amount, and everything is so fresh! Would come here again!

If only the service were a fraction as good as the food. The coffee is good, but don't expect a second cup unless you get it yourself. I asked for cream for my coffee that came after the coffee was too cold to drink. The salads are huge. The Mexican skillet is my favorite. The Rice Krispie treats are as big as your head and the apple pie is worth splurging and going off of your wheat free/sugar free diet. But the service really super sucks.

So far I do not have a complaint! I will definitely be coming back. The menu is large and the service was nice. It has a great view as well. Breakfast and lunch yummy in my tummy

Sandwiches are great, love the Cobb salad. Make sure to grab a cookie, very tasty! Whenever I go in there to pick up an order it is very busy and not much room to maneuver but it wouldn't keep me from going back.

Always drive by this place but never stopped until yesterday. It's close to Copper Ridge Surgery center. I ordered the Philly sandwich & half Cobb salad. I told the server to just bring me a whole sandwich, I would take the other half for my husband. Very pleased & surprised that she took it upon herself to wrap half the sandwich to go! Great Food & outstanding service! I will be returning!

Got the Napoleon sandwich today. Was missing the mustard which was super disappointing. Despite missing the mustard it wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination but certainly wasn't anything to write home about. When you consider the price of nearly $10 for just a sandwich, I think there are less expensive and more impressive sandwich shops in Traverse City to explore.

Service-zero stars. Food-don't know because I never got served. A cheery fellow greeted us when we walked in and told us to seat ourselves, a waitress would bring some menus. We waited quite a while as several waitresses sauntered by slowly. We finally flagged one down and requested menus, stating that we've been here forever. She said our server would be right over. Again, we waited and waited. Meanwhile, two waitresses in particular stood around behind the counter. The cheery fellow had to direct one of them to table 8, unfortunately, not our table. The people that walked in after us found menus on an empty table but also seemed invisible to the waitstaff. We decided to leave. The cheery fellow told us to, "Have a nice day," on our way out. We replied that we never got served, but he was already on his merry way into the back. We went to Cuppa Joe instead and ate delicious sandwiches.

Sort of off the beaten path, located in Copper Ridge, across from West Jr. High on Silver Lake Rd. The view is panoramic, very cool. Open for breakfast and lunch. The "Breakfast Skillet" is amazing! Potatoes, scrambled eggs, cheese and the very best homemade salsa I have had in northern Michigan as of this morning. My aunt in Texas makes something very similar, using a blender to make a salsa "sauce,' for lack of a better word. Tomatoes, onions, cilantro and peppers give it a nice "bite," which is hard to find up here. They offer a variety of both hot and cold sandwiches. The sandwiches I've had were excellent, very fresh and flavorful. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent. Designer coffees and teas served as well. And they have the biggest rice crispy treats, big enough to share with three other people!

Amazing place that a resident from the condos down the street suggested. Everyone was soooo nice! Got a 32 oz iced chai for $5.95 and Oregon sandwich for $7.45 that included turkey, cream cheese and sprouts. Broccoli cheese was amazing too. Im so glad we took a local's suggestion!! Definitely bookmarking this place.

It's weird. It seems like all the people working there are treated like crap. I haven't heard great things about the owner from some former employees who were the hardest working people I've met. Food is okay but I always feel so bad for the workers because they always seem like they just got done getting yelled at.

This restaurant serves breakfast and lunch. I was there for a later lunch, a little after 2pm, and it was't busy at that time. There is table service, though you do seat yourself. Table service not extremely fast, but you should slow down too, it is better for your blood pressure (I am just saying). I ordered a sandwich and some potato chips, Mrs Vickies-bbq. There would be bonus points if the chips were the Great Lakes ones, but Mrs. Vickies are good too. The sandwich was veggie, it's name was 'Bellaire.' It had sprouts, onions, cheese, lettuce, generally all happy things. I liked the 9 grain bread too. This restaurant has a lovely view. You can also get a picnic lunch for two to go, 25.00, plus the price of renting the basket, like 5 dollars. They have shakes too, and desserts, but I didn't go for it this time. I would like to return another time. They appear to do delivery also.

Always happy with the food here. Huge selection for whatever you're in the mood. Good customer service. And on a busy day, it's very convenient to have it delivered to the salon.

We were in Traverse City for a lacrosse tournament this past weekend and my mom and I ventured across the street to Rolling Farms for a cup of coffee. Unfortunately we had already eaten because the food looked amazing! The menu was vast and offered many different entrees for a small price. The staff was very warm and inviting and the coffee was excellent. If I lived in the area I would definitely stop in again!

If I could give this a negative number I would. The waitress was extremely nice but the young lady doing the cooking had a horrible attitude and wasn't shy letting the patrons see it. For a pair of simple egg dishes we waited almost an hour and my poached eggs were hard as rocks. Don't waste your time and money here

Pretty good food. Fresh tasting. Service is extremely spotty and can take unbearably long... I waited 25 minutes for a cold sandwich while the place was medium busy - pretty bad.

I was told their food was like 'crack', it was so amazing. I finally got a chance to try it, the sandwich I got was pretty good. Their menu is huge, so I was excited to come back and give more things a try. I got the almond chicken salad next... totally disappointing... a huge bed of spinach and a little tiny spoonful of chicken salad. I left hungry. I tried a couple other sandwiches but they all seemed to be something I could easily make at home, I'm still hungry and after $8/$9 a sandwich, it just doesn't seem to be worth it. Prices are high for the portions. I was working close by and called for carry out a few minutes before my break. It took those few minutes plus my entire lunch hour for it to be delivered... an hour... for one sandwich. I went in one day before work to try breakfast... 45 minutes to get French toast and they weren't even busy. I just don't think it's all everyone says it is. The wait is ridiculous enough.

When my coffee maker broke I stopped here a couple of times a day to fill up. Coffee is excellent, as are the muffins. Everything looks great coming out - they have huge breakfasts. Definitely will be back!

Great view of the Traverse City area from up here. This cafe serves up some nice sandwiches, salads, and soup. I've dined here three times and I've been very well satisfied with all of my meals. The sandwich board is pretty great - my favorite is the "Napoleon Picnic". It's served up on a warm and toasty croissant which is a nice touch for a sandwich. All the makings that go into their food seem pretty top notch and they pack a lot of flavor. The service is good, too. I'd steer you away from ordering "the works" on all of their sandwiches. Usually, it's a safe bet and a tasty combination, but I found it a little overpowering combination of flavors with the tuna sandwich. Beverage selection is pretty solid and they have good lemonade, tea, and frozen yogurt for dessert or shakes. With all that, I would have given this place four stars for the quality of the food, which is still very good, but they earned a five star rating for two reasons: (1) They delivery to most places in town between 10 am - 3 pm which is awesome if you need to grab a tasty bite at work but can't get away. (2) They will put together a picnic basket - including the actual basket - containing two sandwiches, two salads, two bags of chips, two cookies, and two canned drinks for $21.90 (as of 06/17/2010). That's a pretty sick deal and its awesome for taking to the beach or going out for a hike. The only catch is that you have to return the basket by the next day or lose a $40 deposit, but they seem like they might be flexible on this if you asked nicely. Bottom line: Good food, good drink, awesome view, cool concept. Highly recommend.

Best place to eat lunch! Love the Club sandwich, the Asparagus Soup, the Raspberry lemonade and the huge rice crispy treats! Can't go wrong eating there.

I really like the food here. We like to order in at the office occasionally and what's great about this place is that they do delivery! I have suggested it to several visitors for lunch meetings and each time they have been very happy. I have eaten the food on two occasions and the food is nice, fresh and has great flavor. Their menu is large and gives a lot of options...even for picky eaters like me! I would definitely recommend Rolling Farms to anyone looking for a wholesome, delicious lunch...we will definitely be ordering from them again!

Perfect place to grab lunch. Sandwiches are all great and reasonably priced. The chef salad is awesome. They have the best balsamic vinegar dressing I've had anywhere. FYI closed on Sunday.
